Practical information
Participants are expected to arrive on Wednesday May 3rd. The program starts with a study visit tour on May 3rd arranged by Fjärdhundraland economic association and Leader Mälardalen.
The buses will depart from Uppsala Central Station, where we will gather for registration at 12 am. In the evening, participants are invited to join a dinner at Campus Ultuna.
Please note that there will be no lunch served on May 3rd.
The Rural Pact Conference continues on Thursday May 4th from 9 am until 5 pm, at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Campus Ultuna in Uppsala, Sweden.
The working language of the event will be in English.
Participants are expected to make their own travel arrangements as well as covering their own accommodation and travel costs to and from the event.

Getting there
By train from Arlanda Airport
Local trains go from the airport to Uppsala Central Station. From Uppsala Central Station, bus 4 and 100 go to Campus Ultuna, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
In the UL travel planner at the link below, you can search for a trip from Arlanda C to ”Uppsala Centralstationen”, or directly to ”Campus Ultuna” if you arrive on Thursday May 4th. You can choose to travel by Mälartåg (Mälardalstrafik) or SL commuter trains. UL tickets are valid on these routes and you can buy them easily in the UL app. For travel to and from Arlanda, a UL zone 1 + 2 + 5 ticket is required.

Uppsala Taxi among other companies offer taxi from and to Arlanda airport and in Uppsala city. You will find the taxi companies outside the arrival hall at Terminal 5 and outside Terminal 2 at Arlanda airport.
Local buses
Take the city bus to Campus Ultuna. The bus stop is called Campus Ultuna. Information Länk till annan webbplats. about local buses.
From Arenahotellet
Bus no 3 from bus stop ”Lagerlöfsgatan”. Get off at bus stop “Svandammsparken”. Change to bus 4, 100 or 101. Get off at bus stop “Campus Ultuna”.
From Akademihotellet
Bus no 1 from bus stop ”Slottsbacken”. Get off at bus stop “Science Park”. Change to bus 4, 100 or 101. Get off at bus stop “Campus Ultuna”.
By car from Stockholm
Drive E4 to Uppsala. When you are close to Uppsala, the motorway exit is to the right, with signs "Uppsala S". Continue to the roundabout and take the third exit. Follow the signs to "Ultuna" (you will pass a bridge over the Fyris river). At the traffic light after the bridge, turn left.
Study visits on May 3rd
We invite participants to gather at 12 am at the marked location on Uppsala Central Station. The buses will leave at 12.30 sharp for the study visits. Please note that there will be no lunch served on 3 May before the study visits. There are no possibilities to buy lunch during the study visits, so please make sure that you have eaten lunch before departing from Uppsala.
Please bring comfortable shoes and clothing according to the weather.
The study visits are jointly organised with Fjärdhundraland and Leader Mälardalen. Fjärdhundraland has developed from a Leader project in 2009-2011, to an economic association that now gathers more than 160 entrepreneurs, organizations and individuals, successfully making Fjärdhundraland a thriving rural area that attracts visitors from all over Sweden.

Luggage storage
For those of you that has not been able to check in at your hotel, there will be an opportunity to bring your luggage with you on the bus. Your luggage will be stored in a locked luggage space during the study visits and the dinner in the evening.
Dinner on May 3rd
The buses will go straight from the study trip to the dinner in Ulls Restaurant, Campus Ultuna, where we very much look forward to listen to a speech by Vice-president Dubravka Šuica, Commissioner for Democracy and Demography, European Commission.
Dinner is offered by the Region of Uppsala and Uppsala Municipality, starting at 17.20 at Ulls restaurant, Duhrevägen 8 Länk till annan webbplats. at Campus Ultuna. Formal attire is not required. The buses will take you back to Uppsala at 20.30. The buses will stop at Akademihotellet, Uppsala Central Station and Arenahotellet. The bus ride to the hotels takes approximately 30 minutes.
